Level transitions

Im finally getting my first game off the ground with TGB but Im a bit stuck with this, how can I make a transition between a level and another instead of just showing the next?

Since I come from flash game programming, not being to play an animation or a movie between levels is new to me.

You shouldn't post the same question to multiple forums. It tends to get you less responses and not more. ;)

UPDATE:

Ok ... maybe it's a *little* different question... slightly. It depends on the transition you want.
