Just got it

Ok i want to make a game like Grand theft auto i hav no experience at all but i have got the 3d programing all in one by kenith finely (which has lead me to get the engine) 3d max7 (prob will use milkshape at first) photoshop 7.. do you think i should read through the book and then try and start off with like a box then get it to move then get like a map of a small city then get a wepon or 2 then work on geting a person to mount on a vehicle then try to get the vehicle to drive then add some AI drivers?.... and work from there inproving things? does that sound right on how i should do it or should i try a different approach...i have a team of .....3 lol

    I'd buy the Torque game engine first so you will have access to the source code.

    As far as some advice on your game, well if you have no experience and a small team why are you aiming so high?

    I wouldn't even make a game to begin with. Just practice with modding the starter.fps kit and go from there. Once your knowledge increases start with a small, realistic project that you can finish.

    I started with tetris and chess, This gave me alot of the basic knowledge, then I built from there.

    Ok....maybe i wasnt detailed in telling you what i have no experiece in.............................. i do know how to use C++, 3d modeling, photoshop 7 and game making i have modded a couple games like black hawk down and wolfenstein making models not realy much programing but i have made a few small adventure games in c++ and i am going to go to a local colledge to learn more on c++
