Why is the transition between walk and strafe jerky?

With the default model, the transition from walking to strafing is nice and blended, ie, it does not "snap" from one an to the other.
Now, with my animations, it seems to snap when I change direction. How are the defualt anims set up? Are they blended? Cyclic obviously. Where does the anim start though? ie, what is the first frame?
Thanks for any help anyone. :)

I had this problem too early on.
The first thing....is either the walk, strafe, or both animation a blend type? If so, take blend off. Blended animations do not transition smoothly. Originally, I had my sidestep animation as a blend, and it would "snap" to the other sequences, like walking.
Hope that helps :)
