3D, Third person, Pokemon game, needs programmers

Yeah, I realize that they can basically snap their fingers and stop me from doing this, but I figure if that's the case, all that happens is I change this from the "PKMN 3PS" project to "Random critters beating each other senseless with shiny attacks" Project.
Either way, I have no intention of dropping the idea of making a game with the idea's in my head (And on the site summary) and no matter what the outcome of the project I'll learn something.
Though, on the topic of something satirical... how would you mean exactly? Making creatures that look alot like pokemon and exagerating everything which seems odd or weird about the game/anime, or does something satirical still allow one to use copyrighted characters as long as it's meant in a humorous fashion or...? I'm not 100% clear on how that would work.
I had also tried contacting nintendo directly but... their answer was "Nintendo can not give out legal advice" which... I found rather odd... but at the same time, I understand why they would be vague like that.
Thank you for your post though ;-) I'm essentially hoping to fly under the radar, but when one is searching for programmers because his own ability is limited to 3D modeling... it's hard to find people without getting noticed >_<;;

You get the idea.
This will at least stand in the United States (this week) - Satire is protected free speech. No telling what will happen next week, though.

Regarding a satirical angle, I was definitely meaning exaggerating the genre... you could have something that looks like Pikachu, only named something like Pet-ah-CHOO or something, and have him running aroung going "ah-CHOO ah-CHOO" all the time... give him a really gigantic tail that looks like it's been slammed repeatedly in a car door or something.You get the idea.

But for now I'm just gonna take it one day at a time and see how things unfold.
The way I see it, no matter how this works out I learn something.
Any actual code can still be used for the project if it *must* be modified, so there's no problem there, what needs changing is mostly aesthetics, as well as names and things, and I wont mind reworking that.

Thanks, I'll consider that. I was actually thinking "If Nintendo says no, I could give all the pokemon Mustache's. No, he's not pikachu, he's PikaSTACHEchu! He's totally different!"But for now I'm just gonna take it one day at a time and see how things unfold.

Why not just do a parallel project. Create your own critters and do battle with the same idea. Don't use their name make a new franchise.

Just so's ya know, copyright and trademark law goes further than this statement - whether you make money off of it or not, they can issue a cease & desist order and demand that you stop production. In fact, the law demands that they do this, because if they do not make every effort to protect their intellectual property, then they will be in a weaker position if somebody else attempt to make commercial use of the Pokemon trademark.
Now, it's possible they'd never notice you exist and would let it slide, but that's a risk I personally would be unwilling to take. A possible solution to this would be to make a parody of Pokemon, keeping it satirical. That could also be rather fun, and has the possibility of getting a cult following.
