Medium-Poly Person

Here is the main-body of a medium-poly person I am working on. Well, I guess if you consider 5292 tris medium-poly :).
Here is a picture:

The game will be an online kind of Counterstrike meets Quake II style game, so do you think it is too high poly?
My motto > Crits and comments welcome!
Thanks,
Okashira
EDIT: By the way, it was made in Milkshape 3D following a human anatomy in 3d modelling tutorial(which I lost). The MS3D 'Smooth Edges' tool was then used. Before the 'Smooth Edges' tool was used, it was 882 tris :D.

That is the only downside with Blender, the GUI is confusing and takes a while to get the grips with, but there are features I want to use, like Baking (That my version of C4D isn't capable of doing, baking works in 7 and up) and well of course a dts exportor that doesn't require me to fork out an extra 20 to add to my toolset :D

I agree, blender's GUI is very confusing, i find 3dsmax, the easiest, and prob best modelling tools out there. next to that, would probably be Maya. XSI is also something good to know, if you intend to be a modeller in the gaming industry.

Anyway, I think we've drifted off topic here, lets just conclude with everybody is different ;) I mean theres no way I'm gonna get max when I have what I need.

I think Max and Maya are high quality programs, but not the easiest, Cinema 4D I find has been extremely easy to learn, and those speed modellers, like Hexagon, Silo, Zbrush have all really good learning curve. I'm not much of a fan of the interfaces to Maya and Max, power doesn't come before learning curve for me, hence I don't use Blender and uninstalled the demo of Houdini soon after I installed it (Houdini being the most expensive 3D package I know, very powerful, not well used and a bugger to grip hold of.)Anyway, I think we've drifted off topic here, lets just conclude with everybody is different ;) I mean theres no way I'm gonna get max when I have what I need.

are less complicated there trying to reinvent the wheel and the learning curve is to high But its free!!
