Mac OSX modeller for characters

Hi I'm pretty new to Torque and while I've been using Torque and Blender to make enviroments, I'm still having trouble with creating animated characters. Specifically something I could use as a PC. Any ideas on (free) software I could use for this, or any guides for Blender?
Thanks in advance

However, if you have an intel mac, you might be able to run some 3d modeller apps for windows via parallels or darwine. Or of course, you could use bootcamp and boot into windows, provided you have a legal copy of Windows XP and the required disk space.

Nah mine is a G5, not got an Intel. I've tried Blender and while I don't mind using it, I just can't find any guides to creating animated characters using Blender.

Check the DTS Exporter: Blender forum. There are a bunch of articles with links to videos and other tutorials, including pages in the TDN that outline in quite a bit of detail how to use Blender to make stuff for Torque.

I use Blender for small things and finishes on models, like the decimator tool. but i model in Wings 3D, which I find to be alot easier to use.
Blender and Wings are pretty much the two main ones. try both and see how you come out.
