How to Control light inside Subway system DIF

Hi,

I had built a subway tunnel in Quark and illuminated it low with some lights and I had exported it to DIF and placed it over a 4 lane road in my mission. The interior textures of the subway looks very bright even after positioning the sun directly above the subway. To test it, i had changed it with all different textures to make the tunnel darker. Only after applying a darker texture the tunnel had become darker. I am using TSE.

It casts shadow properly on the road, but the subway interior is fully lit with the external light from the sun. Please somebody help me to control the amount of light inside the subway tunnel.

Is it not the physics of TSE engine to take care of this?

Physics has nothing to do with lighting at all.

What I've noticed is that the omni light tends to be very bright. I have cooridors where the lights are pretty widely spaced, but it still lights the hallways very brightly. Try using fewer lights.

Cliff, I have tried even after removing all the lights in the DIF, still the subway texture is brightly lighted.

You could try turning the ambient down on the sun to 0 0 0

Cliff, I had turned the ambient down to 0 0 0 but still the interior is lighted.

Is the tunnel interior portalized and are the portals set to block sunlight?
