How to debug TGB script??

Recently, I have bought TGB, and is studing how to make a game by this tool. But I found it is too hard to write a game by script, Is there any easy ways to debug TGB script?
And, I can't decide which way to go. Write C++ code purely? Or write script to make a game??

I'm using Torsion for development, but I never been able to setup the debugger to work properly. I looked in their forum, but informations are scarse. I'm sure missing something ...

@Steve - What problems are you running into? It's pretty much a matter of adding breakpoints and hitting F5.

What I get is that "connect" windows poping up, then nothing. The Torsion interface keep thinking it's in debug as the menus are greyed out as if in execution, but the game just doesn't start. I made sure to setup the proper executable (T2D_debug.exe) in my "Debug" profile. Still nothing happen...

Is your firewall software blocking connections? The debugger does use tcp/ip telnet to localhost

@Steve - Do you have your 'base directory' set to the same folder as the TGB EXE? Sometimes it seems people get confused and set the base directory to the mod folder of their game. This will not work.

My question is, can I debug script expediently like debug c++ with vs.net? Did garagegames publish the debug tool for TGB script ?
In addtion, what is Torsion? ;-)

Yes... TorqueScript is fully debuggable just like C++:

Thanks, I downloaded the Torsion and installed it. After I constructed a Torsion project, and I pressed F5 to start, the debugger pops up a dialog"connecting", and the "connect" button is grey. Is there any config error happens??

In addition ,I have shut down my firewall, and made the right configuration in base directory..
