80 gb
32 mb ram.
win xp
well i can just forget about maya...milkshape's okay for me. when i make my models in milkshape and then export them as dts they are really low poly but look extremely detailed in torque. you cant see the polys and everything seem smoother.

That number has to be a mistake, I didn't think XP would even run on something that low spec.

This guy is sooooo funny. His posts are always a good laugh. There's no way windows xp runs under 3MB ram. I could find a better PC in the garbage dump.

Bryce I checked out your turbo squid link, and the guns other people are doing for free are really good.

The other free ones were from 3DS Max, Lightwave, Maya, and Blender. Milkshape is NOTHING like that. I am doing the best I can and the point of this weapon pack is to let people use models that are low poly and won't bring their framerates down or lag them on multiplayer. 3,000 poly models are not handled well in TGE, as I'm sure you know.

Bryce, in one of your previous threads i read you are using pictures from the web as textures for your models? Is this still the case? You really can't sell stuff like that without the permission of the copyright owner.

Actually the ones that i get off the web i do have permission. the others i have to make my own texture. its not too hard for me.

Demo. n
demonstration
Demonstration software - usually a special version of a commercial program that can be freely downloaded on a trial basis; often has limited features or expires after a period of time. example: "The flipping MP5 is a demo"
I do not care what you think. You are excessively negative and i don't need criticism from you.

Look. I use milkshape. It's hard to make weapons that look oh-so impressive and commercial game quality. The turbosquid link is free because that's a free DEMO.Demo. n

What I dont like about you is your lack of overall knowledge when trying to sell a product."
Surge you realize youve been working at that company for almost as long as Bryce has been alive? in case you didn't realize it Bryce is about 12 years old. so no, I dont think anyone here could possibly consider him a professional, but I'm sure he's alot further along than most of us when we were his age. I also commend Bryce for not pulling the age card at any point while you relentlessly flame him. quit being such a bully!
Warde I wonder about the requirements and regulations involved in pulling and using media from the internet. I mean, what if someone were to take an existing image and modify it? would permission still be required from the owner? if heavily modified, how could the owner even still claim such media as his own? I believe there's a huge grey area when it comes to that sort of thing.

That said, I have absolutely no knowledge of the way things work today. What I just said would've been fine 10 years ago. Today, I'd unfortunately have to send it off to our lawyer to sort out.

Before copyright laws went utterly and completely insane, the modification requirement was at least 10% different. Using it as a texture on a 3D model would probably constitute it being at least 10% different. That said, I have absolutely no knowledge of the way things work today. Torque Owner Sam M
Also it requires Windows 2000 professional with 512 mb ram and 450 gb of hard drive space. If you can upgrade though it's a great program.
