Well, over at www.mydreamrpg.com we've been discussing TSE vs TGE + NVidia Cg. Just figured I'd get thoughts here about it. Basically, from what I've understood on it, TGE + TLK + Cg has only 2 shaders versus 40+ in TSE.

TSE is 100% usable at this point. I've recently moved to it from TGE and I'm not even looking back. starter.fps looks great btw ;)
I have another source telling me that Cg works on Intel cards just fine. Anyone have any websites or benchmarks to say otherwise?

I would 100% recommend getting TSE b4 leaving EA, which, considering they are half a milestone away, probably would be by IGC this year. Wouldn't make much sense to release something as big as TSE anywhere other than IGC or GDC and GDC is a looooooooong way off. I was planning on getting TGB, but waited like a moron and now it's a lot more expensive.TSE is 100% usable at this point. The advantage is that it's cheaper, but if budget isn't a problem making the TSE jump would be a good idea, even so you can wait for 1.0.
In the meanwhile, just start makign the rest of your game, interiors, models, normal maps, alot of the game script can be prototyped in TGE beforehand too.
