Hello,
I am a person with no experiance (yay!) who wants to learn. First question, is this possible with Torque? Second, is this to difficult if am learning to use this? Third is, is anyone availible to teach me? Anyway, on with the idea. I plan on making a game that is sort of like Advance Wars except 3D. This is NOT a rip off and is not a copy. There will be two different "races" or "teams" at release. Each with different units, strengths, and weaknesses. The terrain will make a difference and could change the way a battle ends. There will be one campaign for each side, each with 10 missions. So, what do you think?

I see. Well I still need help with the questions. I searched, I read, and I failed. Well, Ive jotted down facts about one of the units, how it will look and other things. So anyways; First question, is this possible with Torque? Second, is this to difficult if am learning to use this? Third is, is anyone availible to teach me? I feel weird and uncomfortable asking these, but I think that this can be good if made properly.

2. You can concievable write the game as you are learning. Break the game down into components of what you want to achieve. Learn and implement each bit and move on.
3. I think people will assist you based on each request. As I said before read and search for common key words. But I would suggest you jot down the game design in note form and post it as a .plan (a blog from your profile)
Next - get started! Does it need to be true 3d? If not then TGB has sprite scaling and rotation, plus it writes most of the scripts for you. If you want, jot down a plan and email me and I can help get you started - where to look, how to design it that sort of thing.
And don't be afraid to ask. I think people will tolerate a lot of questions to start with, but the more you get known the more likely people will expect you to discover Torque for yourself. It's not being mean, it's just that a lot of the answers are in these pages, and bear in mind everyone else on this community are also busy making games. Good luck!

1. Yes an Advance War type game is possible in Torque - though a game is a pretty tough undertaking for one person. The more people you have working on it, the faster it wil develop.2.
