Utah Area Indie Night - Thurs. July 27, 2006

To All Utah Area Indie's,

Our next Utah Indie Night will be held on Thursday, July 27th, at 7 pm at the new Ninja Bee offices in Orem. (Yes, they have moved to a newer and bigger place). Thanks once again to Ninja Bee for hosting this event. email me if you need directions to get there.

Again, the format will be similar to last time, an informal get together to chat, eat pizza, talk about the industry, see what others are doing, show off your current project, etc. Please bring some cash to chip in for the pizza and munchies, if you can.

Due to our growing size, we will need to change a few things this time around. In particular, we will need to keep the introductions brief (mainly so they don't take up our entire evening). Secondly we will need to plan for the demos before hand. So if you are planning on showing something to the group, please let me know, and we can plan for it better.

The event is open to anyone with some interest in Indie Games, so feel free to pass the word along.

If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. Hope to see everyone there!

Oh! I'm going to try. I have a catch-up rehearsal for the final weekend of our show, but I will see if I can reschedule it for wednesday and head up. It's about two and a half hours since I'm down in Pocatello, Idaho, but still. I've been wanting to come up and meet people in my region for a long while! Especially since there's no way that I will be able to make it to IGC again this year. Grrrr!

Hope you can make it Dave. We had over 30 people at our last one, and there was a lot going on. Email me (email in profile) if you can make it, and I'll send you some directions to get there.

I hope you can make it too, David. I'll try to be there. I wasn't sure if I wanted to bring along my WIP, but I could be convinced otherwise...

As usual, I'll be there, but I don't think I'll be showing this time.

@Rubes: LOL

@Cliff: I won't be showing a demo this time. It's changed a bit since last time, but there's very little new *finished* art.

Ah, OK. heh. Sorry... I'm not from Utah, so wasn't aware you'd shown a demo last time... but "showing" is frequently short-hand for "showing up," so I read "I'll be there, but I don't think I'll be there this time." heheheheheh.

Okay I'm bumping the thread a bit to remind people of the event in two days. Also a reminder that the event will be in a new place, so don't show up at the old Ninjabee offices as you'll find nobody there. Also, we'll be keeping introductions brief and if you'd like to show something to the group, please send me an email so we can plan for that better. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks everyone for coming! We had about 33 people there last night and it was awesome! I did a quick writeup about the evening here. I'm sure Jay Barnson will soon have a writeup in his famous blog as well. See you all next time!
