Just a quick hello to the GG\TGE community.
Took a look through a number of 3Dengines and decided upon TGE (forums and community being one of many deciding factors for me) and have purchased TGE (GG) and ordered GPGT book (Amazon) and if all goes well during my learning phase hope to add TSE to my list of purchases.
Have a 'Lot' of 3D experience in other arenas and hope to apply some of my knowledge to projects in Torque, looking to start small and build a good solid basis from which I can develop more ambitious projects.
So expect to see me pop up quite alot over the next few weeks with queries and questions, my first being in regards to the world editor.
Q. I notice that whilst you can apply a detail texture generally across the board in the world editor options, is it possible to apply one on a per texture basis? The same query seems to be equally applicable to the bump map field.
Originally I hoped it might be assigned on a per texture basis, I also noticed the propertyMap.CS file and wondered if this would hold the answer.
Sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm still playing about in TGE until I start to take a serious plundge into the book\examples etc Monday.
TIA

I honestly can't say for sure about the detail texture. But i gotta ask if you've tried searching for it since you purchased the SDK?
Now that you have the SDK, you are able to search thru the 1000's of posts in the SDK Private forums. I know i've seen posts about your question, but it isn't something i'm interested in :)
If you have searched, then that's good too since it's a powerful tool. Perhaps someone else will be able to answer the question then.
