Question on GG dedicated test server

Ok so I have compiled my own game with head version and a few modifications. My noob question for the day is can I use the GG dedicated server for testing or do I have to run my own? It crashes when I try it now.

Well I did some more testing and I figure that it's only 1.1.1. base example.

This is what I expected. Kinda like I know the answer but I was hoping for someome to reply to confirm this. Well I am gonna build a second pc just to run dedicated server mode. I'll have to reprogram my firewall but that should be ez.
