We haven't gotten to implementing any "fit to face" functionality but it is on the list for 1.0

Well due to a mix-up with a spam folder, I wasn't even aware the forums were active yet! :( But I'm here now and I'll start to go through everyone's postings.

Its starting to shape up (hahahha.. ok, no joke). It needs to have some tweaks to the texturing to make it really super fast though. By default, I would apply a texture to fit the whole of the selected faces. Most of the time, I want a texture to fit a face I think (or by selecting multiple faces, I am implicitly saying that I want the texture to fit a group of faces). Scaling and translating the texture from there I think its useful (at least you start off seeing what the texture actually looks like, rather than a stretched version of itself).
I'll post some more when I've got it in front of me.
