map2dif.exe doesn't work under windows xp!!! :(

Doesn't say anything else, is this supposed to work with windows xp in the first place!

I use Windows XP Home Edition with Map2Dif without problems. My guess is that it is something in your setup.

an you be more specific as to what you mean by setup, if there is anything i'm supposed to do can you say it!

Have you tried a differnt map2dif.exe? sounds like something is corrupted.

i still ge the same problem, it is always under win xp, so after testing on 2 pcs and a laptop the logical conclusion is that it doesn't work under windows xp!

i tried various map2dif.exe, the compiled ones from gg, another one that someon gave me {that works} on the ##gg channeli still ge the same problem, it is always under win xp, so after testing on 2 pcs and a laptop the logical conclusion is that it doesn't work under windows xp!

it works under win XP.... I'm running windows XP, and i find it quit a stable and compatible enviroment for both Torque and its tools.

haven't tried that but wouldn't it be the same since it is map2dif that doesn't work!

as the .map's made by worldcraft have no issues with xp

Did you test with a different .map file Hugo ? Say, a simple box ?

WC 3.3 .map works fine! well have problmes but that is different!
