Rec conevrt to Avi

Is there anyway to convert .rec files to avi or other format. How would you do that. I only found(here at GG) third party software like frep or snagit. Thanks.

The only way to do that would be to play the recording and use video capture software like Fraps, Snagit or Howie's.
