Is the power turned up enough?
Why aren't you using WC 3.4?! lol I like it much better.
"bullseye" is just what I chose to call my target. You can name it "exwife", if you want. ;)

Do you have the target in front of what you want the light to shine on? It can't touch the wall.Is the power turned up enough?

may it be a problem of 3.3?
I start working with 3.3 since I'm with TGE, but at the time I'm looking at Hammer. Are there big differences between 3.3 and Hammer?

well, the target is just on the wall, but not in. does it have to be complete in free space? power should be ok. But all does not change anything! I changed the name too, but it doesn't use anything!may it be a problem of 3.3?

'Target entity not found: 'target2' ! Target entity not found: 'target1'
what am I doing wrong?

I've just installed 3.4 and, there I can see the connections, but when I convert it in map2dif, I get the error:'Target entity not found: 'target2' ! Target entity not found: 'target1'
what am I doing wrong?

And make sure that the light has a totally different color than the object it's supposed to shine on... you won't really see a red light on a dark brown crate very well ... or a white light on a shiny white wall...
And you can simply ignore all the errors in WC concerning the targets... it should work anyway...

Did you set the "name" and "targetname" attribute of the target entity to "bullseye" (or whatever)? And make sure that the light has a totally different color than the object it's supposed to shine on... you won't really see a red light on a dark brown crate very well ... or a white light on a shiny white wall...

Here's a simple Quark map & dif file with all the lights set up. I made a few different spotlight examples too since that's been the topic of discussion. This should be a good reference for adding lights in quark.

Falloff is how far the light goes from the source and distance is the radius of the spotlight. Here's a simple Quark map & dif file with all the lights set up. really interesting! Do you know, how to make a kind of cone of light? Is it possible with transparent texture, so that the light can shine on them?
Thanks for your good help! really greate!!

There's a resouce to let you make volumetric lights.
Torque Owner Matt Droll
I created a spotlight, set the targetname on "bullseye" and added a target. there I add a new key with the name "targetname" and a value called "bullseye"
But that doesn't work.
Am I doing something wrong?
anyway: thanks guys!!
