Looking for answers! All of a sudden the game no longer works.
I get a white screen and then music then nothing.

I also reinstalled my entire operating system, it would work OK, but then stopped after the latest OS software update.
I'm looking to see if there is some update or patch to make the game work again.
The console log says there are files missing, even though the program was just installed.

Very odd indeed. I have the exact same OS and MBG version, and I don't have any of those "missing" files, either.I'm at my wit's end. Sorry :(

Oh! didn't see that... But even before, where it says failed to find maccmdline.txt? There's no such file in my computer.

Some files are said to be missing but in fact no one has them. Perhaps different version of marble blast or other things of it have been deleted. Had you ever taken a look in prefs.cs you'll find that you should have multiplayer in MBG, but it was never done.
