Ummm no... you don't need any of that stuff to get a shape from QuArK into Torque. These people are crazy. Did you get the file converted into a .dif format and make sure it had the textures in the directory with it?

Yes i did. and it crashes the game to the intro screen and gives me an error message. it does that with my 3d max model that i did for a test too its realy strange im not sure whats wrong.

If it says you are using the wrong version when loading a DIF, it usually means that it can't read your texture images (it thinks they are somewhere they are not). Try putting them in the same directory or the previous directory in the tree to see if that error goes away--start in the directory with the .DIF. Also, make sure that your textures are a power of two (2x2, 4x8, etc).

Okay, datablocks would be necessary if you wanted your model to do anything, but aren't necessary if you want it to sit there and be pretty. You should be able to get into the world editor, press F4 and then go to the directory and load it. If it doesn't load, there is probably something wrong with the model/level. Load up a fresh instance of TGE, get into a mission and load the model. After the crash, go into your console.log file and go down to the end. Start scanning to see what the problem was.If it says you are using the wrong version when loading a DIF, it usually means that it can't read your texture images (it thinks they are somewhere they are not). Did you put them in the same directory as the DIF (or the one above)?
