Ozark Games WW2 Pack #1--for Torque.

Our World War 2 Pack (#1) is now on sale for Torque. This pack includes 27 objects that are Torque-ready. Fill your scenes with crates, barrels, barriers, pallettes, and ammunition boxes. Most objects have German and English versions. This pack is going for $8.95, and is royalty free. The models are in .DTS format, and the textures are in .PNG format (512x512 resolution). The UV Maps (1024x1024 res.) are included for easy re-texturing.

Not the most optimized UV's I have ever seen - you could do that in half the space.
Also the concrete barrier texture looks rather weak :/

Thanks for the critique, they always help. None of these textures are from photographs, they are all handmade; I tried to get the best look I could with the concrete, but there's always room for improvement. Thanks again.

I think the concrete just lacks hard edges, it looks very dodgy/burny add some hard edges along the side, cracks etc, dirt coming up from the bottom (its been sitting on a dirty ground - not just out of a factory) etc etc

I guess same goes for most of the textures, they look really clean. I would assume being WW2 this stuff is sitting out getting dirty/rusty whatever

Yep, I've had people ask about the level of dirt (or lack of) before. I wanted to create 'worn' textures versus really dirty ones. Depending on the level of dirt that you want in your objects, it is easier to apply more dirt to these textures than to take the dirt away. It would be easier if I was just making them for our own games; however, since I am making them for a broader customer base I tried to make them as versitile as possible (which is why I included all the UV Maps as well). Some people have told me they prefer a bit cleaner media.

But I can definately see where you're coming from on the Cement Barrier though. The biggest thing I learned while putting together this pack (my first one), is file organization. My texturing will improve, as will my modeling, as time goes by.
