bob = "your uncle";

Must be one of Melv's entries, since I don't think americans use that particular bit of slang. ;)

I heard it in rural Wisconsin 30 years ago. I'm sure that few who used it, however, knew that "Bob" was Lord Robert Salisbury. It was just sumptin' you said. :)
