by Rob Segal · in General Discussion · 04/29/2006 (3:13 pm) · 4 replies

Game developers to converge in downtown Toronto at the International Academy of Design and Technology (www.iadt.ca) to create fantastic games in one weekend May 5- 7. Toronto Indie Game Jam (TOJam) will showcase the videogame talent that Toronto has in spades. After the event, the binary bundles of joy will be posted on the TOJam website for all to enjoy.

Visit http://www.tojam.ca for full details. If you live in Toronto you can register now. I know this is short notice for those interested in attending but I did want to mention it nonetheless. Additionally GarageGames is a sponsor providing a copy of Torque Game Builder to all those who attend the event! Thanks again guys!

ARghhh I wish I could, but this weekend I am on a business trip to prague :(((

Hmmmmm are there enough of us in Toronto to maybe get a seperate meeting downtown one evening, maybe start a mini club to shoot the breeze and learn about each others skills and what were doing with Torque in Toronto?

Regards

Aha! So perhaps a defnitive TGB cult makes it's way to fruition in Toronto. If all goes well there will be others so don't worry about missing this one Graham. Surely I would think there could be enough of us to form some kind of meeting. Or we can just piggyback on the IGDA Toronto chapter meetings www.igda.org/toronto . It would be good to get some fresh blood in to those ranks that's for sure.

This post is mighty old but thought I'd follow up more recently with news about TIG (Torque Interest Group) Toronto which has started up again over the last few months since it is relevant to this thread. Our goal is talk about all things Torque related. Check out the details on our next meet on my blog.
