You need to run UnMessDTS over the model I beleive.

3D Studio Max 6+ MaxScript to use unMessDTS

It's a plugin for max that will unmess a dts. What's a messed dts? Refer image in original post :)

What do you have? I'm assuming blender or milkshape. I have no experience with blender, some with milkshape.

You might have some vertices not attached to bones, so they get left behind when you run an animation.

I get the same thing when i export high poly count objects out of lightwave!

What modeling package are you using?
