Do you need a live orchestral score?

I posted this in the Music section as well, and it appears as if I might have some better luck with some views here.

My name is Sean Beeson, I am an experienced composer searching for a paid or full time composing job/contract/position for the coming months. I am currently finishing up a small project, and am looking for a much larger project to work on for the next few months. I am comfortable writing any style/genre of music in any media.

Here is my sample page:

And my demo reel:

I typically work with digital samples, but can also work with live musicians. I currently am finishing up the process of recording the Moravian Philharmonic for two games.

Here is a sample of my most recent work for an RPG: - Spiritus Overture - THIS IS THE HQ FILE, IT IS 9 MINUTES LONG!

If you are looking for a specific kind of music, let me know, chances are I have written a piece in that style. Also do not hesitate in contacting me in regards to any questions you might have, including a portfolio/resume or rates.

It depends on what you need. If you are looking for something large and epic, purely acoustic orchestra, over 55 pieces, it is a little more expensive, but even AAA titles that have live orchestral soundtracks don't always use a large orchestra. They will usually have a smaller ensemble, 35 pieces, then sweeten the sound with samples.

For example, I just am finishing up 5 minutes of very epic sounding orchestra music with an orchestra in Czech. (Same orchestra used to record a few tracks from Sim City 4), and for that 5 minutes with a larger orchestra, it is running about 1600$ which isn't bad.

I can of course make something that sounds live and has live players for a considerable less amount.

Thanks,
Sean Beeson

I should mention, there is always an option or alternative. If you have the game, I can get the music :)

What sort of price range would you estimate for purely digitally peiced together music ? (question from a personal project standpoint :)

Purely depends on the magnitude of the track, and it also depends if I am doing one track or an entire soundtrack.

I have been paid 150+ per track,(Typically ambient music) but in the same light have been paid well over $3000 for a track that involves a lot of large scale work. (Piece is STILL being worked on now :) I am more than flexible in pricing, although there are a lot of composeres that are not as flexible.

I would much rather take a large paycut to write music for a successful game though.
