*New Review and Score System!
Arch Platforms - Don't look for gravity modifiers when you see arches! Suited for beginners and above.
Fun Factor - Very High
Creative reuse of MBG parts - High
Challenge - Easy
Thought Factor - High
Map Layout - Nicely done
Frustration - Negligable.
Overall Score - Very High
General Comments:
Arch Platforms presents the player to a medium sized map where the player has to roll over large arches in order to get 5 gems. All the player has to do it use the gravity modifiers in order to get from platform to platform. The player then has a Gyrocopter in order to fly to the finish pad. While original and creative, Andrew keeps on showing that his levels are all about balancing yourself in order to get to the finish. With an easy gold time of 1 minute, Arch Platforms is a recommended level.
Personal Comment:
I finished this level in 50 seconds (I wanna go sub-50 :)) and I enjoyed the way you used gravity modifiers in order to get the player to get from one place to another. The level was not frustrating at all and I rather much enjoyed this fun level. Although it looks easy, you still need to be careful with your balancing skills.
I liked this level and I believe it was done well and with thought. Well done!
Boxes - You'll never look at boxes the same. Suited for advance and expert players.
Fun Factor - Very High
Creative reuse of MBG parts - High
Challenge - Advanced
Thought Factor - High
Map Layout - Well mapped with all objects in their correct places.
Frustration - Medium, shows up after a while.
Overall Score - High
General Comments:
Boxes presents the player to a medium sized map with many boxes covering it. The player has to navigate between boxes using super jumps, super bounces and more in order to get to the finish. Mines, bumpers and more are the hazards that the player has to encounter. Boxes requires to collect 13 gems in order to finish this level. Andrew keeps on showing that his levels are all about balancing. This, however, can be frustrating, as some levels, including Boxes, are showing. With an easy gold time of 2:30.00 minutes, Boxes is recommended for those who want to shape up their balancing skills!
Personal Comment:
I finally finished the level in ~1:40.00 minutes! I did manage to skip some parts (and miss gems) so I could get to the finish and then see how long it would take to me (I think 90-120 seconds) to finish this level. I did manage to discover some tricks that decreased my time by 10 seconds :). It's quite frustrating though since you need some balancing skills (I have them, and it's still hard!), but at least my brain managed to develop some shortcuts to this level. Good job with this level, though.
