Illegal Transform Error

When going to export a character model, I am getting an error "illegal transform detected between bounds and bip01*insert applicable biped part*".
Now, this model was originally scaled down quite a bit, so after doing this I used the reset xform utility on all mesh objects...to no effect apparantly. Although it displays and animates perfectly in max3.1, I believe when I go to export, it "thinks" the model is still huge. When I play the animation in max, it is quite obvious that there is no collision between any mesh objects and the bounds object. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this little dilemma (short of redoing the character...I'm trying to lazy and not do that)
Thanks very much in advance for any help!

If the animations that it is erroring on are sequences, try deleting the mesh before you export the sequence. It sounds like maybe the exporter is seeing animated scaling.(look in your dump file, it may mention detecting scale animations)
