Personalized Armor/Raiment

Is there any way to have a decent selection of armor, helms, weapon types to choose from to help create a very individualized character? Maybe a way to almost build your character from the ground up with prerendered pieces of armor, so you wouldn't just select a character and go, you'd add this type of helmet, that kind of mail, etc. etc.
Also, How much combat will actually take place hand to hand? I think it would be great to really emphasize close-in personal sword, axe, hammer play. Parries, blocking, and just all out H2H destruction is what I'm talking about.

If you're making your own game you can do whatever you want. Maybe give certain characters weapons/armor etc to start with. I'm sure you could set up a GUI selection screen at the start of a game where items could be selected for example.

IF HTH combat is the focal point, make ranged weapons weaker, harder to aquire, or don't have them at all. Just a few suggestions.

A lot of these things will be up to the GG staff and RW members.

My mistake. I edited that after I noticed you meant specific to the RW project. Some of it still applies:)
