Can I export my character facing front view?

By default , the front of the character should face back view(max) or -Z axis(Maya) , I just wonder if i can export the character facing front view(max) or Z axis(maya) ,the reason is some third party software require this (likes motion builder).

Sure, just face the bounding box's pivot in the opposite direction.

[edit]This worked for static meshes, not sure if it's entirely ok to do this with skinned.
