Worldcraft and Torque

by Lane "Wavesphere" Fox · in General Discussion · 03/26/2002 (3:13 pm) · 6 replies

I'm trying to get Worldcraft working so I can use it to make buildings and such then put them in Torque, simple eh?

Well I can't find out how to get Worldcraft to work, I click File > New but It says it can't find any game configurations then sends me to the options panel, ok now I'm realy lost.. ;).. I remember getting it to work a long time ago, but I forget how, since I don't have Half-Life/Quake/UT or any fps games worldcraft is basically used for I can't seem to make any game configurations, so now, how the heck do I get worldcraft to let me start making stuff and use it in the Torque editor? I know its bound to be some easy answer of setting the config to make it think Toruqe is a game, but I'm new to Worldcraft and don't know how to use it, so somebody lemme know please! ;)

Thanks

Do a search in the site for "worldcraft" and you'll find a nice document that explains how to get WC configured for Torque.

I know it works since it's what I used to get WC working.

ok instead of having to post a new thread i though i would go off with this one.

I have WC 3.3 and it is currently configured to run with T2 (TORQUE) now i can do everything that any other WC owner can do but run morain.exe it gives me an error saying that "Error opening Zip, need to handle this better"

now i have WinAce installed and it DID work for a while but not it doesnt. i HAVE moved morain to a diff dir, i HAVE completly uninstalled/reinstalled WC and all the Tools needed to make it work for T2, i even uninstalled WinAce then reinstalled it. i have a few friends that use WC too doing the same thing i do, but none of them have any problems. im using WinXP (fully patched or whatever) and i have tryed ruinning WC in all the compatibility modes... but its always the same error.

The SDK contains complete documentation for this process. Did you read it?
