Hmmm, Still a little confused about a few things......

I was reading through the faq and this wasn't clear, If you want to make a free game with the Torque engine, do you have to send it to GG to be evaluated for publishing? My Friends and I want to make a game, but we don't really want to sell it even if its good enough (which we doubt). So can we have the full version of our game on our site if its free? Anyone who can clear this up please reply.

Hi,

As far as I've always understood it, you can put your game (demo or complete) available for download on your website as long as you don't charge people to download it. You only need to approach GarageGames if you intend to sell your game to make money.
I would advise making a limited demo available first on your website, and then make a decision about selling it or releasing it for free.
I intend to make several demos available throughout development, primarily for testing purposes, but only make the full version available via GarageGames. After all, if you don't sell any copies you can always release it for free later on. It would be a shame to make your game freeware and then have to watch a million people download it :)
