T2D OSX (Demo) Sound Problem?

Hello.
I just downloaded the demo for the T2D on OSX. The Torque 2D Shooter Demo. And there is no sound whatsoever. I went to the options and saw that Open AL was selected and the volume slider is turned up. I can't figure out why no sound is coming out :S

What version of OSX are you using?
Is there anything relevant produced in console.log?

Actually it IS included with the demo. The OpenAL framework for a version that works with T2D is bundled with the binary. Also, OSX includes OpenAL (however at least the version in Tiger does NOT work with T2D, thus the bundling...).What version of OSX are you using?

Nothing in the log stood out in particular to me. It doesn't show errors or anything.
Here's a link to the log if anyone interested wants to take a look.

edit:
I just tried downloading a couple of the game demos from the main page. And I also downloaded a demo for a game called sinner's and saint's bingo from a link on the T2D page. The sound works fine on these games, which I'm assuming use OpenAL aswell, so I'm wondering what the problem is.
I'm seriously considering buying the T2D game builder but If I can't confirm that I'm not going to have troubles with sound on my mac It's kinda hard to part with my $100.

I'm guessing even if there is a problem with the sound on the demo version it will get fixed in time right? I mean if I were to buy the Game Builder eventually I should be able to get help in making the sound work or wait for a new version. If you can't tell I'm trying to justify the purchase to myself. Well you may see me in the private forums in the next few days.

@Kodafax: This isn't a generalized problem, like the issue where version 1.0.x of T2D didn't have working sound for ANYONE under Tiger (without a community patch). Sounds like you just need some good old fashioned tech support to get this working for you.-JF

Did you get this fixed, Kodafox? If so, how? I didn't realize there was sound in the OSX TGB demo till I read this thread. I'm running 10.4.6. I have OpenAL installed and it initializes properly in the log, but I have no sound in the shooter demo.

Hi Lester, It seems that the sound in the demo version doesn't work for some reason on OS X. I'm guessing it's just an older build of the engine. Because I wanted to buy the engine anyways and I figured it would get fixed eventually I just went for it. But to my surprise when i downloaded the actual up to date engine the sound worked perfectly fine.
