Composer willing to work for free to build portfolio

Greetings,
A friend of mine sent me to this fine site.
I have spent the last several years co-producing backing tracks and underscore for singer-songwriters and some student films while also composing my own creations.
Instead of putting out endless demos like most guys do, I want to write music for your project for FREE, just for the "credit". In other words, you let me put the credit on my site with a few of the clips and the music, professionally produced in my state of the art digital home studio for FREE.
