Hello. This is my first post on the boards. I'm more or less a hobbist who likes to tinker now and then with game programming. Just wanted to introduce myself and say 'Hi'.

I'm going to start with the TGB 2D first. My first project is going to try to make a simple tile based rpg game. Just small steps at this point like finding a decent graphical tile sets, etc.

I noticed there are some good RPG Maker tilesets, as well as a wealth of tilesets for rpg toolkit at http://www.toolkitzone.com/.

I was wondering if anyone had experience in either using these in the sprite/tileset editor. Any conversion programs or whatnot.

There seems to be a wealth of rpg tilesets out there, unfortunatly almost in every odd format imaginable.

Hi Dennis,
I've used a few of the terrain tile sets from that site ... I'm a newbie too, and I used Gimp to change them to ".png " files and then imported them into the engine ... and broken them up into cells ... have not used the editor ...
You can download (free) from http://www.gimp.org/
but there are other programs you can use check out the art tools section ...
cheers
