by JW · in Artist Corner · 04/05/2006 (9:09 pm) · 4 replies

Hi all
We have a dts object that has animated textures running on it,we have done using .ifl script
inspite of using .png files with transparency it gives a solid look ,we have tried reducing the
transparency in maya too ..it is not working,
we would be happy is any one can give a solution to this.

We use maya 6.5
torque and dts exporter.

Thanks.

Think you put the file into mayas path where ever you keep your scripts restart Maya
and type "maya652dtsExporter" in the script editor minus the" " highlight the text in the upper part of the script editor then MMB click and drag the text to your shelf which give you a button to click.
to set transparency 0.888 for 'additive 0.777 for subtractive

Hi Dave your response is pleasing ,but i dont find any .mel script file in the download,
i still copied the .mll into script folder -restarted maya and typed "maya652dtsExporter"
it gives an error [ Error: Cannot find procedure "maya652dtsExporter".],if u have the .mel in hand please mail me at - ashok.rau@gmail.com
Thanks.
