Character Model and Animation exportation...

Hi, I am having a frustrating month. My team has a reference model in maya, we also have lots of animations separate from them. The downside, I can't figure out how to get animations out and get them to work. I've sort of gotten dts out, but not dsq. I have all the tutorials on max, i've gotten out static objects, but i'm having trouble finding any information. I'm new, so don't kill me, if there is a viable and reliable source of documentation on the proper torque export of characters with cycles from maya, i'd be most appreciative of being pointed to the information.
