Tarrain texture - not as it is

Hi.. i am quite new to this forum and engine as well..
and i want to ask a question which i cant eem to find where to post..
i have version of the engine that i am useing for now to learn to use it until
i will buy it..
and i tryed to use a few textures for the terrain that are not from the engine provide and
the texture is loaded to the tarrain painter but it is not properly displayed..
can any one please tell me what is cousing the texture to not be displayed properly and how to use other textures for tarrain..?

i resiezd the texture image to 259 before and did not noticed.. so thanks for your care to replye..
this is what i did with it

You have a version that you're using until you buy it? That sounds fairly questionable I'd say...
