3D model smoothing

Ok i'm use high polygon character and i found away to reduce them down from like 70,000 to about 7,000 but the characters look funny, is their a software out that i can smooth out my obj files?

You should look into smoothing groups. They are pretty simple and easy to use and will make your model look smoother.

There is a little Jpeg tip/tutorial thing that shows you a little bit about it. It might take a little experimenting to really understand it at first.

Ben Jones thank you what is that software? and the 3d models on that site is amazing what is specular?

I use 3dsmax, and that is the same program that guy on that site uses. Specular highlights are the brightly illuminated parts of a model. like on the teapot above the specular highlights are those white areas on the model.
