TGB Beta 2 vs T2D

I recently purchased TGB and am very pleased with the editors and the general feel of the engine. Unfortunately, I am having a difficult time getting up to speed with the engine. I have noticed the the tutorials on TDN aren't really for TGB and the layout of the scripts has appeared to have changed. Would I be better off using the old T2D for the first little while until I get comfortable and then make the jump to TGB 2?

The tutorials aren't for T2D 1.02 either ;-)
They were for 1.1 Alpha but the level editor and new script structure jumped in after that ...
The tutorials will be updated at a later date for sure ... for the moment, it seems to be easier to take the existing tutorials and visit the thread that mention the "errors" (like .setGraph -> .setSceneGraph when I remember correctly and things like that)
