Has Interior/Building Renderer changed?

Hi GG'ers,

I recently downloaded the RW Demo app.
On both of my systems here the frame rate is terrible when the buildings are in view.

I fired up Tribes 2 to see if it was this bad, and it is not. With T2 the difference when looking at nothing but terrain versus buildings-in-view is negligable.
With RW, when buildings are in view, the fps drops to less than 1/4.

Has something changed in the Building renderer code??
Or are the buildings in RW constructed incorrectly/poorly?

I've Been wrong before

but it appears these Interior Diff's have no level of detail .. so therefore when looking upon them all at once .. the engine is considering all polies..
..
in tribes they really took advantage of the lod system for the interior's
