Torsion and TGE

I just downloaded Torsion and want to use it with an existing game. I want to use it with the fps starter. I am going to make a copy of the starter fps directory and name it MyFirstGame and place it in the Example directory. Do I make the copy first and place it in the directory or do I use Torsion first to create the project and then copy in the starter fps files?
