New Animations for Kork? & How: Milkshape to Blender convert?

2 Art-pipeline questions from a programmer. Basically I need a couple simple modles to interact with in specific ways, so I can do some programming. I'm wasting days though trying to learn dead-end art tools, and getting no programming done. :-(
1) Is it possible to add new annimations to Fluffy/Kork? I wanted to make him hold/swing an axe, hang on a ledge and then pull himself up, and a few other simple things for a small demo-game.
2) Whats the best route to move a MilkShape file (MS3D) to Blender (.blend)? The Milkshape annimation studio (or lack there of) is driving me crazy.

Also what tool do some of the artitsts like to use for annimation (under $100)? I tried converting:
.MS3d -> MilkShake-ASCII .txt -> cfx
and back last night to use charecterFX for annimation. When it got back to milkshape the bones were moving but the model wasn't, and the texture-material wasn't being applied.
ps. if you feel tempted to respond "use google" please suggest a keyword, because i've been striking out on this.
Thanks all!

Also, another solution is to check out Shaper. Search for it. You can do some animating there with Fluffy's DSQs.

However, I do remember seeing some extra skeletons in the ms2dtsplus exporter that looked a lot like Fluffy. The phrase Boxy or Mr Box springs to mind. I think the nodes were aligned like Fluffy's. You could use the node setup to create some new animations.Also, another solution is to check out Shaper. Search for it. You can do some animating there with Fluffy's DSQs.
