It looks as though I need the TGE SDK Indie License to by the T2d License, but I've read in other threads that it looks as though THIS is all I need... what's the difference in the Source and Source Early Adopter products (besides $20)? Can I make a full-blown game (like the networked checkers demo) with just the Early Adopter license or am I going to be missing anything?

Thanks in Advance

T2D is stll in Early adopter phase. If you have TGE, then you get a 20 dollar discount.

Though T2d networking is in it's infancy, it works for Turn based games.

Hope this helps.

They are exactly the same even though it's slightly confusing from the product pages. The $80 one is for if you already own TGE (or if you buy TGE at the same time). Basically if you have TGE you get a $20 discount on T2D.

Is there any reason to get both TGE and T2D? I'm only looking for something that will allow for 2d design.

Also, am I technically allowed to install this on multiple machines, even though I will be the only one using it? Or am I limited to one machine / one license? I'm basically asking b/c I have a desktop and laptop and I'd like to be able to code at both places.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Scott - If you dont need 3D then dont get TGE, though some of the documentation that exsists in the TGE forums and TDN is very useful for T2D.

You can install it on as many machines as you want, so long as you are the only person that has access to the source.

Are these 200+ page tutorials I'm reading about something I'm going to get access to via t2d or is that something that was done on TGE?

The tutorial you are referring to is a tutorial that is up on TDN under the T2D section... So yes, you will have access to them.

The Indie license is for the programmer (or user)...so as long as you are the one using it you can put it on multiple machines :)
