I have a few pre-purchase questions...

Hello everyone.
Thank you for creating such a great-looking product! I really would love to get it!
However, I have a few little questions I was hoping someone could answer before I do..
1. I tried the demo a while back and have looked through the site, but I'm not certain on this.. Does the Torque Engine (3D) contain enough art/rendering tools within it to be able to create everything you'd need straight in the program or would you -need- to have another program like Maya to render things first and then export to Torque? (And do 2D elements such as portraits and border images transfer well into it?)
2. Can a small game made with Torque be embedded into a webpage? (And is this very difficult to do?)
3. Um.. When I purchase the engine.. is there a way to download the program by FTP, etc.? I'm on dial-up so directly downloading from a link.. wouldn't work. (Or is there an option to pay a bit more for them to send discs? I didn't see anything about that anywhere..)
My apologies in advance if these seem like stupid or obvious questions.. I just wanted to double-check on them all beforehand and despite my lifelong love of games, I'm fairly inexperienced in dealing with engines such as this so.. I hope these questions are not a bother.
Many thanks for any and all help,

Ok, two more questions come up..
Which content creation tool do you all think is best for the money..? (on a bit of a budget here right now.. - I would need one (or two if they're not -that- badly priced..) that I could create both characters/creatures/items in as well as terrains..)
And by 'download' .. is that yea or nea to FTP downloading.. The thing is, if it's just a link to the download via a web browser or such, there'd be no way I could keep the computer on for the month or so it'd take to download - not to mention that any time it was interrupted I'd have to start over..
Thank you very much again! I really really do appreciate the help - I was not expecting any so soon.

The download is just via a link. Estimated download time for 56k modem is 2.6 hours. I think you can still get it via CVS also, not sure though.

For the time being, why don't you use Quark and Blender. They may not be the most intuitive, but they are free. And you can get used to the Torque workflow and research other tools while actually working on your game.

Yes, you can get it through CVS as well. You would need to download a CVS client, though...and then the engine. But as long as you can leave your computer online for three hours, you should be fine getting the file. For the time being, why don't you use Quark and Blender. 2. Torque was not designed around the web-embedding mentality. However, there is an article on TDN about getting it working and Think Tanks faked it through foul witchery. It is not a trivial process, though.
3. You download it. They used to offer a CD but I'm guess that few people actually made us of it.
