Blender Exporter on OSX

Help!!!

I just bought a Mac Mini (could not resist the prices now with the new models coming out!) and am trying to get everything up and running. I am a complete novice to Mac's and was hoping someone could help explain how to setup Blender so it will export dts files properly.

Currently I have Blender running version 2.41 with version 2.3 Python (could not find an installation for 2.4). I have downloaded the Torque DTS Exporter Version 0.91RC5 and am looking for the scripts folder to drop the files into like I do on my Windows platform.

Like I said, I haven't got a clue on the way Mac's work and from what I can tell the Mac version of Blender is a compiled version since there are no subfolders to drop the exporter in to. Do I need to compile Blender with the scripts folder or is there a way to get Blender to recognize the exporter from within the app?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
John

Got rid of Python 2.3 and created a scripts folder in the same folder as Blender, then moved the exporter folder into the scripts folder. Still no luck, the scripts eporter menu does not show in the Torque exporter.

Yes, did not appear to do anything.

The Mac version of Blender looks way different then Windows. All of Blender appears to reside in one file.

Just right-click on the Blender aplication and choose "show content".

But you can use any other location: I use a scripts folder at the same level than Blender. If you go this way, you need then start Blender, open the info window (at the top of the screen) and set the correct path for Python scripts in the "file paths" tab. Once you got it, remember to use Ctrl+U for saving it as the defaults.

Opening up the package did not help at all but setting the path sure helped :) Never knew that you could set it directly.

The menu now shows the exporter, I'll play around with it this weekend to see how it does exporting a character.

Thanks for all the help!
