And it's already being published by EA, and has a website with videos, and its NOT simsville...

Really, it'd help if they updated their [link=www.spore.com]website[/link] to something that shows later news items than 2005.
Gamespy says a release date for the fourth quarter of 2006, so we presumedly only have a few more months to find out. :)

I know I'll be grabing a copy of this game if/when it comes out.

Regardless of complete date, the entire idea behind this game, with its amazing amount of procedurally driven content and interaction is quite inspiring.I know I'll be grabing a copy of this game if/when it comes out.

Secondly even if this isn't a good game fun wise it will be ground breakingin the amount of technology used in it. When I saw the user created skeletol animations all I could think of was oh s***, and the fact that it grabs creatures from other users to make an ecosystem is awesome.

When I see this I also think of the problem of it getting boring but then I think of animal crossing and other such games that I would of said the same thing about until I and my friends got hopelessly addicted to them. Looking back I have no idea why I found it so addicting but I did, and if this game can pull it off it will be colossal.Secondly even if this isn't a good game fun wise it will be ground breakingin the amount of technology used in it. Didn't go down well with the share holders but it looks good and hopefully will do well so that EA moves away from it's franchise only based business model a bit.
If this is what EA can do when they allow their teams to be creative they could make a new name for themselves as innovators.

EA taking a chance on a new IP product.Didn't go down well with the share holders but it looks good and hopefully will do well so that EA moves away from it's franchise only based business model a bit.

Neat concept, though. From microscopic survival to domination of the universe.
