This question is moot. DX10, Vista, and DX10 compatible video cards aren't even out yet. So why ask this question at all?

This should probably be in the private TSE forums, BTW.

There are major differences between D3D9 and D3D10, it would mean almost a rewrite of the TSE rendering core for D3D.

It wouldnt matter about the lack of the new video cards just yet (since its mainly just for Geometry shaders and Shader 4 etc, althought I do expect some major GPU enhancements since it will be a shared resource).

But to switch to D3D10 and get rid of all the fixed function rendering (no emulation) would be nice.

What about WGL? or WGL2? or WGL5!!!

(BTW WGL means Windows Graphics Layer. WGL == SM5, WGL2==SM6 and WGL5 == SM 9)
