Well, Hello All. Little update on UA, ive got a screenshot for the Ad im creating for school, which depicts the actual game graphics. im not sure how to add screenshots or pictures to the body or post, so im going to give a link to the blog i have for the game. but, you havnt heard from me because i have been doing alot of work on the game, mainly models.
the modeling process is not very easy, but im getting the hang of it. share you comments on the screenshot, or how to improve the graphics. if you would please, inform me on how to post pictures here also, thank you.
goto http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/7510/1539/1600/screen.jpg for the picture. that link should take you directly to the picture.
thanks,
mike

Whatever happened to the link that showed you how to add stuff like that? I know the tags from other forums, but new people on the forum probably don't.

It right below the "post a reply" window. Se where it says "(Want to use bold, italics and add links to your text? Click here to learn how)".

It would let us know alittle more about your modling technique and then i could comment.
I will say, that little curve you got going for the lamps stem has got to be a missues of polygones. It looks like it has -/+ 12 sides (on the Y or UP) , and is curved ALOT, leading my to think there is about8 or so segments, making this one item in the 100's of triangles..a little much for just the stem of a lamp. You can get away with alot less that that and it will still hold up under inspection.
also the curved part of that bace... could be another area for polygon reduction.
I would realy need a wireframe shot..
And it looks good, but you asked for feedback =)

im using cinema 4d for my models currently. so when i want to curve something(the lamp light support) i use the magnet tool. its pretty much the easiest way i know of curving an object to what i need.
but tell me what ya need a wireframe of and ill get it for you
edit: looking at the wireframe for the lamp....wow...the curved part is like pure white...lol. im going to definetly find a way to lessen the amount there.
