AMD rules

I have a built in benchmark test in my game to determine how many AI vehicles the hardware can safely handle.

Here is my hardware report
Processor Init:
   AMD (unknown), ~1.80 Ghz
     (timed at roughly 1.81 Ghz)
running benchmark test
CPU performance factor 1086.956543, test took 0.05 secs

Now the bigger that "performance factor " is, the faster the CPU was at doing the test.

Now here is a Pentium ...
Processor Init:
   Intel Pentium 4, ~3.20 Ghz
     (timed at roughly 3.22 Ghz)
running benchmark test
CPU performance factor 806.451599, test took 0.06 secs

That same pentium also crashes completely to reboot as soon as the race begins and the vehicle starts to move. I don't know why as I don't have access to the machine, I just got the owner to email the consol log to me.

Send me your benchmark tester, I run a P4 3.3GHz with HT, I'd like to see my results. :P

It's built into the game. Best I can offer is for you to download the game from here then run it and check the console.log file for the results.

AMD's are alot better for gaming and graphics, Intel's are more for Macs. You know, music + video editing and word processing. Mac Minis are good for gaming, though.

If it's crashing and rebooting thats the equivilent to a blue screen (XP is set by default to reboot when it encounters a bluescreen). Only drivers can cause problems like that, which suggests to me that you may want to check his graphics drivers.
