Indie License - Is this allowed?

by Lee-Orr Orbach · in Torque Game Engine · 02/24/2006 (4:54 am) · 6 replies

Licensor grants Licensee a single seat to an individual, a limited non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Torque Game Engine (Engine) for the purposes of making source code and object code for an unlimited number of electronic single or multi-user Games ("Games").

This is written in the Indie license EULA. I was woundering if I can, without buying a Commercial license, make interactive presentations?

Thanks,
Lee-Orr

But if I create the presentation, and i'm an indie, cant I do it with the indie license? because it's leagal to create commercial games with the indie license. Another thing will be, what if the presentation wont be used for commercial use? lets say I need to lecture in front of a group of people, and want to use an interactive presentation, or if I want to give someone an educational presentation on a CD, and want it to be interactive?

The EULA states that you have to make a "game" with your indie license. Since an interactive presentation is not a game it needs a commercial license.

check the box Are you an Indie.

If you're not making a game, you need a commercial license. That applies to profit or non-profit ventures.

I'm sorry, I forgot the first part... I'll have to start saving, or not make my presentation in TGE...

Or a contractor with a commercial TGE license could compile an executable for you for a price.

Just a thought.
